Hi there, and thank you so much for stopping by!

I’m a wife, a proud mother of two amazing young men, a Gigi (grandma!), a devoted dog mom, and a world wanderer with a passion for storytelling through the lens. Photography has given me the incredible opportunity to freeze life’s most beautiful, fleeting moments—and I’d be honored to do the same for you.

When I’m not on a shoot or exploring new places, you can usually find me in my cozy home office in Logan, Ohio, nestled in the heart of the scenic Hocking Hills. It’s where I edit, dream, and plan the next adventure—whether that’s across the globe or in your backyard.

I recently completed The Complete Course in Professional Photography with the New York Institute of Photography. While that education laid a solid foundation, the most powerful lessons I’ve learned have come from personal connections, real-world experiences, and a lifelong desire to grow—both as a photographer and as a person.

Photography, for me, is about more than just beautiful images. It’s about capturing the emotion, the in-between moments, and the stories that make us who we are.

Take your time browsing the galleries, and when you’re ready, I’d love to hear how I can help you preserve your most meaningful moments—so they can be remembered and cherished for years to come.

With gratitude,

Wendy

A Legacy Through the Lens

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember—it’s in my blood. I’m the daughter of a photographer, and I had a camera in my hands before I fully understood how to use it. My first published photo was taken at just 8 years old: a quiet shot of Cedar Falls in the Hocking Hills, just outside of Logan, Ohio. I captured the moment, and my father—ever the encourager—had it developed and shared.

He spent countless hours chasing the light, capturing whatever stirred his imagination. We have boxes of his old slides—yes, actual slides (for the younger crowd: think of them as vintage Instagrams with a projector 😉)—each one telling a story, each one a glimpse into how he saw the world.

He had an eye for finding the extraordinary in the everyday, and he taught me to do the same. That’s probably why I’ve never settled on one particular genre of photography. Like him, I’m drawn to variety, to emotion, to the challenge of seeing something new in the familiar.

Though he’s no longer with us, I feel him every time I lift my camera. His perspective, his passion, and his presence still guide me—and always will.

The Tilly Project Affiliate Photographer

In December of 2022, I was added to a network of photographers listed with the Tilly Project.

The Tilly Project is a non-profit organization that aims to connect pet owners with end-of-life pet photographers across the world, and provides accessible, educational, and supportive resources for photography, anticipatory grief, and pet loss/bereavement.

My sessions will be donation based, and proceeds will be distributed among various animal welfare groups I frequently donate to. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you or someone you know is caring for a senior or terminal pet. My main goal is to make sure you have lasting memories of you and your loved one.

Wendy is incredible! Not only does she capture radiating moments in her photos, but she has a heart of gold. I participated in a photo shoot with my rescue pup and horse- with all proceeds going to a local animal shelter!! Truly she is such a gem to work with and I cannot recommend her business enough. Whether it’s senior pictures, family, wedding, pets, etc. she’s the one!!

My son is difficult to photograph. He doesn't like his photo taken, to look at the camera or smile for pictures. Wendy did an amazing job capturing our son for his senior pictures. I am thankful that we trusted Wendy Stallsmith Wilson Photography with this special time in our lives.

"Wendy did an amazing job on my daughters graduation pictures. The way she captured 4 horses, the sunset, and my daughter was breath taking! Wendy was willing to trek all over our farm to capture many great pictures. She is fun to work with and is up to any challenge. I highly recommend using Wendy as a photographer!"

"Wendy has been and always will be our “go to” for any kind of family or pet photography. She has taken family and graduation pictures of one of our grandsons that really captured his personality and are just awesome! One of the pictures included their family pet- she doesn’t just stop with one session or one pose! Thank you Wendy for our precious family (and pet) photos and capturing that special moment in time ❤️"

"We began using Wendy for the photography of our wedding. The moments she caught were nothing short of magical. We have continued with Wendy as our family has grown, aged, and even more as special moments have come. She without fail, always captures every precious moment (even the funny candid ones) in perfect execution. We are so thankful to have found someone so down to earth, fun, and with apex skills to grab that moment you want to always have in a photo. Cannot say enough how much we appreciate and admire Wendy and her abilities as a photographer and person. Thank you Wendy for making the best moments of life…last forever through your perfection that is photography." ~ Dan Eshelman

"Wendy was gracious enough to photograph our son, Chase for his class of 2022 senior pictures. She let me book a year in advance so we could get the peak Hocking Hills fall colors and we drove from Dayton for the session. I was able to look through her business Facebook page at other senior portraits she’s taken to get ideas for backgrounds that would show the both the beauty of the area and spots where Chase would feel comfortable. Wendy suggested some wonderful places and she was really able to capture Chase’s personality. She let him use his truck as a backdrop and he was THRILLED. We also took a few black and white indoor pictures and when I first saw those, I actually got teary eyed. She nailed it and she told his story with her beautiful work. We can’t thank Wendy enough for giving Chase such a gorgeous portfolio of pictures." ~ Jami Wyatt and Chase Stansberry, Class of ’22.
